Based on MachNation’s IoT Application Enablement ScoreCard 2015 , MachNation has found there are now two types of IoT data and application enablement vendors in the ecosystem — Application Enablement Platform (AEP) vendors and Platform-Enabled Solution (PES) vendors. Due to the lack of maturity of IoT markets and the varied IoT priorities and deployment requirements of public and private sector organizations, both types of vendor can be credible and successful in the market.
This research – available to MachNation partners – is an accompaniment to MachNation’s IoT Application Enablement ScoreCard 2015 and provides a description of the two vendors classifications, classification characteristics and example vendors in each classification.
