Boston, MA – MachNation is excited to announce the availability of MIT-E UX, the newest addition to its MachNation IoT Test Environment (MIT-E) line of products and services. Cincinnati-based Losant, an enterprise Internet of things (IoT) software company, will be the first to take advantage of MachNation’s new MIT-E UX offering with its Losant Enterprise IoT Platform.
MIT-E UX is designed exclusively to test and evaluate components of an IoT platform that impact platform user experience (UX). MachNation developers accomplish this by designing, building, and evaluating proof-of-concepts (POCs) that mimic the experience of a typical enterprise using an IoT platform.
In MIT-E UX, MachNation developers design and build these POCs in multiple IoT platforms simultaneously. This allows MachNation developers to document, quantify, and make recommendations to vendors about their IoT platforms. As part of this head-to-head POC competition in MIT-E UX, MachNation developers create materials that can be used internally by our clients’ product teams and externally by our clients’ marketing teams for lead generation.
“Over the years, we have found MachNation to be a fair and knowledgeable authority of IoT platforms. So when we thought about a partner for this project, we knew we could trust MachNation to provide an independent evaluation,” stated Brandon Cannaday, Cofounder and CPO, Losant.
MachNation believes that customers will engage with IoT vendors’ products and approach platform usability in new ways in 2020 and beyond.
“As the capabilities of IoT middleware continue to mature, we’re going to see best-in-class vendors differentiating their solutions by improving platform-to-human interfaces,” says Josh Taubenheim, Technology Analyst with MachNation. “Best-in-class usability reduces time to market for new initiatives, and ultimately saves organizations money by reducing the amount of time developers spend on implementations and getting to production-level scale.”
MachNation is continuing to expand its IoT testing services with Tempest, a software suite for IoT performance testing launched in January, 2020.
MachNation is exclusively dedicated to testing and benchmarking Internet of Things (IoT) platforms, middleware, and services. MachNation owns and runs MachNation IoT Test Environment (MIT-E), the industry’s only independent, hands-on, benchmarking lab for IoT platforms. MachNation testers, developers, and analysts provide guidance to industrial enterprises, the world’s leading IT vendors, and communication service providers.
